BREAKING – Holland Stepping Away From Legislature

JACKSON (WCBI) – The Gentleman from Lee County is coming back to Lee County.  Representative Steve Holland is stepping away from the Legislature at the end of this session.

In an emotional address to the House floor this morning, Holland says he is suffering from dementia and that its time to return to his home county.  Holland says he will continue to focus on his family business and his church life when the session ends.  That day will draw to a close 30 plus years serving District 16.   In typical Holland fashion, he  said he’s a tough old bird and will fight the dementia as hard as he can.
