Video: The Brexit Vote Economic Impact

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The United Kingdom votes to leave the European Union in a historic referendum.

The entire World is looking on as Britain separates from the E.U. The Brexit is generating controversial conversations across the globe, and the impacts could be felt in the united states.

In a vote yesterday according to BBC.com with more than 30 million people voting… 52 to 48 percent decided to separate the British from the European Union.

Britain’s exit will affect the British economy and immigration policy but why does it matter to us in the United States? Professor Brian Anderson says mainly it sparks ideas for Americans.

Professor  of Political Science Brian Anderson says,”We are interdependent with other countries through our economic arraignments. There’s been a great deal of in emphasis on stepping back from free trade agreement and other arraignment’s that tie us into other countries so I think the UK move might actually create more momentum for that perspective in this country.”

The immediate impact of this vote on the U.S. is an economic one…and that is a very sensitive subject for many American. In uncertain times like this, Financial Planner Scott Ferguson say it’s alway good to have a back up plan.

“We’ve gotta keep in mind we have to have a financial plan that’s build around our goals and objectives and if we’ve got that corner stone financial plan we’re going to have investments that are Taylor made to meet those goals and objectives.” Financial Planner Scott Ferguson says,”Because we are going to go from this uncertainty to the next one and the next one and so forth.”

This is a historic vote that affects several countries but most importantly it sends the whole world a message.

Anderson says,”The United Kingdom along with France and Germany many people consider the leaders of the European Union. Uhh and it could send a signal to the rest of the world that international unions among sovereign states are being re-though as a valid way of moving forward in international politics and economics and that there might be a retrenchment back a more nationalistic point of view.
The Brexit vote is not legally binding, a formal notification must go -before the European Union
