Video: Starkville Leaders, MSU Show Support For New Industrial Site

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Starkville business leaders and Mississippi State lend their voices to the chorus supporting a new industrial site.

The Board of Directors for the Greater Starkville Development Partnership voted today to send a resolution of support to the mayor and the board of aldermen, encouraging them to improve the industrial park site proposed by the Golden Triangle Development LINK.

The GDSP cited location, access to city services, size, and availability of power, as well as economic necessity as reasons for approval.

This afternoon, Doctor David Shaw – Vice President of Research and Economic Development at Mississippi State added his support for the recommendation.

The site at Highways 82 and 389 has the overwhelming support of the Oktibbeha Board of Supervisors.

The LINK goes before the Board of Aldermen next Tuesday.
