Video: West Point, Comcst Reach Deal

[bitsontherun MgkzIrmV]WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) — After five months of talks, Comcast has agreed to pony up to the city of West Point.

The Cable provider has agreed to pay the city 16 dollars per pole to use city utility poles rather than the dollar fifty it’s been paying since the 1960s.

The company also agreed to pay 5 percent of all its revenues as part of its franchise fee. Comcast had not been paying the fee on some revenues.

The new agreement will mean about $30,000 more a year for the city.
