CALEDONIA, Miss. (WCBI) — Caledonia’s population got a little bigger Saturday; actually a lot bigger.
An estimated 10,000 people turned out for the 9th annual Caledonia Day. A 5K run, vendors spread throughout downtown, live entertainment, a pet parade and a variety of other activities offered something for the entire family and people of all ages.
And vendors say they look forward to coming back every year.
“We are here with our church, New Salem Baptist Church, and we usually have a couple of booths and just hand out free things like free water and we hand out church information and Bibles. And we also do crafts with the kids,” said Melanie Benson.
