CALHOUN CITY, Miss. – (WCBI) Calhoun community members take a night to look back at their accomplishments and look forward to their future.

The Calhoun City Chamber of Commerce held its annual banquet Tuesday evening at the Methodist Corner, located on the Square.

Representative Jim Beckett took the podium as the keynote speaker. This year’s theme was “Hometown Heroes.” Honorees included Sheriff Greg Pollan and Police Chief Benny Langford, among others.

Citizen of Year is dentist, Dr. Julie Brandon. Business of the year goes to Piggy Wiggly. Chamber Member of the Year Netta Redwine, and the 50 plus business goes to Chandler Drugstore.

Award winners were chosen by fellow chamber members.
