Calhoun County Reports Wind Damage

CALHOUN COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) –  A number of homes and a potato storage barn were damaged on Thursday morning in Calhoun County.

EMA Director Randy Skinner says no injuries were reported.

A gas line was damaged when the wall of the barn collapsed. The gas has been turned off and there is no further damage.

Sheriff Greg Pollan says deputies, inmates, volunteers and EMA personnel are going throughout the county to check on homes and help put tarps on damaged roofs.

Shingles were torn off the roofs, along with some metal roof damage.

The damage assessment is on-going and more could be reported later on.
