STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)-Children of all ages got the chance to create a Valentine’s Day cards for that special someone.

The Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum hosted the event as part of an outreach program to attract a wide variety of all age groups to the museum. Art supplies were on hand as well as a display of old Valentine’s Day cards.Joan Wilson, a volunteer at the museum says there is something about making a card from hand that

“The hands feeling of the textures, the thought process they can put in, the creativity. I think the computer is great because you can do wonderful things with that, but I think the feel of the paste, the glue, the paper, the hearts is very important for kids and adults,” says Joan Wilson.

The Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum is open to the public Tuesday through Thursday from 1-4pm.
