Cohen, MSU Players Talk Upcoming Baseball Season

John Cohen and friends are excited about the upcoming Mississippi State Baseball season, and they should be. The Bulldogs are ranked inside the top twenty in multiple polls, the most hype a Diamond Dog team has been since 1989.

“This is a good group. It’s a fun group. I think it’s a group that’s pretty comfortable in their own skin” said Head Coach John Cohen who was a Junior on that 1989 team. “We have a lot of work to do but I think there is an excitement in the air.”

Senior Pitcher Kendall Graveman was quick to compliment the Bulldogs improved lineup.

“This is the first time I really didn’t like throwing to our hitters. They really performed well” he said.

Sophomore Co-Captain Wes Rea gave credit to his Head Coach.

“You talk about a complete baseball club, I think coach has done a tremendous job. We’ve got the guys we want and I think this year is going to be really special.”
