CRAWFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — The Crawford community came out for a city wide yard sale to raise money for a special project.
The yard sale was held at city hall to raise money for a new community building.
Vendors sold everything from clothing, food, jewelry and house ware.
The fundraiser was organized by the Mayor and the community action team.
“This pavillion will be a covered pavilion that will seat 75 people. It will have a cooking area and two bathrooms. It’s a place where the people in the community can come together and have big reunions, birthday parties or weddings,” says Crawford Community Action Volunteer Frances Hairston.
The group needs to raise about $15,000 to complete the pavilion.
