Fourth Suspect Arrested in Convenience Store Shooting

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — He’s been on the “wanted list” in Columbus. Now Demarion Walls is behind bars thanks to the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, and the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit.

The 29-year-old West Point man is the fourth suspect charged in the shooting on April 30 at the Sprint Mart on Highway 69.

Walls contacted agents with the Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit and Marshal’s Task force advising he wanted to turn himself in.

Agents met with Walls and took him into custody.

Walls is charged with shooting into a business.

He remains at the Lowndes County Detention Center.

Bond has not yet been set.

Tyriq Kidd, Lonnell Thompson Junior and Johnny Hunter are also facing charges in connection to the shooting.
