LEE COUNTY,  Miss. (WCBI) – A shooting at a Lee County plant lands a Columbus man in jail facing charges.

No one was injured during the incident Tuesday morning at MTD on County Road 631.

Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson says deputies responded to the call around 7:30am.

An employee, Darrell Harrison, had reportedly gone into the restroom at the facility and fired a shot.

He fled, but was captured a short time later in a wooded area near the plant.

Deputies recovered a 38-caliber Smith & Wesson at the door of the plant.

Harrison is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Johnson says Harrison is out on bond from narcotics charges in Columbus and is on probation for other crimes.
