Video: UPDATE – Arrest Made in Tupelo Bank Robbery

TUPELO,  Miss. (WCBI) – UPDATE: Tishomingo County Deputies arrest a man who may have been connected with Monday’s bank robbery in Tupelo. The unnamed suspect may have connections to a few bank robberies in North Mississippi. He was arrested in near the Bear Creek Community off of the Natchez Trace Parkway.

Two local banks have been robbed in the last four days, and it could be the same guy.

The latest crime happened just before 4:30 Monday (11-19) afternoon at the Renasant Bank on North Gloster Street.

The suspect is a white male.

He was wearing a brown coat and is thought to be about 30 years old.

He stuffed an undetermined amount of cash in his pants and fled the scene on foot, in the direction of  Lowe’s and Long Horn Steak house.

No bank personnel were hurt.

It’s unclear if the robber had a weapon, but he did pass a threatening note to the teller, and sure acted like he had a weapon.

Meanwhile,  Northeast Mississippi Crime Stoppers need you help to find the man who robbed the Renasant Bank in Booneville.

That crime happened late Friday (11-16) afternoon at the downtown branch.

That robber passed a note to the cashier demanding money, then took off with the cash.
