UNDATED, Miss. (WCBI)-Youth incarceration rates in Mississippi have plummeted.

According to a new report from the Annie E. Casey Foundation, in the last 12 years the rate of youth confinement in the state of Mississippi has dropped by 50 percent.

The numbers of juvenile offenders confined in correctional facilities across the United States has dropped dramatically in the last 12 years as well.
