Video: UPDATE: Mississippi Man Accused Of Making Bomb In Custody

TUSCALOOSA, Ala./GOLDEN, Miss. (WCBI) – The man accused of making a homemade bomb and leaving it at a Tuscaloosa apartment complex is in custody.

43-year-old Clinton Poores of Golden, Mississippi was arrested at Countryside Manor Apartments in Fulton, Mississippi.

Early Thursday morning Tuscaloosa Police responded to the 5100 block of Old Birmingham Highway after an apartment resident found a “suspicious device.”

When officers arrived, they discovered it was a homemade bomb.

The explosive device was deemed safe by the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and Tuscaloosa PD’s EOD teams.

Poores is expected to be charged with attempted murder.

Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives along with investigators from the Tuscaloosa Metro Homicide Unit are investigating this incident.
