FULTON & SCOOBA, Miss. (WCBI) — A week after being bounced out of the National Championship picture, the Lions are back in.

East Mississippi has now jumped up to No. 2 in this week’s NJCAA Top 20 after falling to No. 3 last week. The Lions were the beneficiary of Jones County losing to Hinds last Thursday in a stunning upset.

Itawamba has fallen to No. 20 in the latest NJCAA Top 20. The Indians have dropped two in a row following their 5-0 start.

EMCC will travel to Senatobia to face Northwest on Thursday while ICC will host Northeast on a short-week with a playoff spot hanging in the balance.
