Entertainment Announced For First Responders’ Dinner

CHOCTAW CO., Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – Sounds of the blues will be heard at the 5th Annual First Responders Dinner on Friday, March 4 at the Choctaw County Community Center.

The Choctaw County Chamber of Commerce announces that the Stormy Monday Blues Band will be the entertainment for the night.

Stormy Monday is a down home Blues band based out of Starkville, MS.

Along with their original tunes, they pay tribute to all the greats from Albert King and SRV to Muddy Waters, and everyone in between.

Based in Starkville, they’re all from the great state of Mississippi where the Blues was born, and love to get out and share that music anywhere they can.

As they like to say, Have Blues Will Travel!

“The Chamber is excited to offer something different this year and we look forward to a great night of celebration as it marks our fifth year to show appreciation to our local first responders,” said Donna McKay, Chamber Director.

Stormy Monday Blues Band members are: John Gholston-Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitar, Brian D. Malone-Lead Guitar, Mitch Shurden-Bass and Zac Ashmore-Drums. They finished recording their debut album in December of 2015, which is expected to release in the Summer of 2016.
