Fire Insurance Rates Dropping For Parts Of Oktibbeha County

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY (WCBI) – Fire insurance costs are about to drop for some Oktibbeha County residents.

The final okay has been granted to an expansion of the Oktibbeha County District Number 5 coverage area.   The new area covers just over four square miles along Old Highway 25 and Highway 25 in southern Oktibbeha County.   More than 90 homes will see their insurance rating drop from a Class 10 to a Class 7.   That should translate to a roughly 35% drop in fire insurance costs.
