Former Alabama State Senator Dies at 103

FAYETTE, Ala. (WCBI)-Former Alabama senator and Folsom adviser Fuller Kimbrell has died. He died Monday at 103 years old. Kimbrell a Fayette native, was a lifelong democrat and an activist in civic, volunteer, and political organizations. He was elected senator in 1946 and was later appointed as James “Big Jim” Folsom’s finance director. Kimbrell stayed sharp even in his old age driving everyday to Indian Hills Country Club for lunch in Tuscaloosa. He died five days before his 104th birthday.
