Injured Deputy Continues To Recover In The Hospital

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Lowndes County deputy injured in a shootout with a high speed pursuit suspect remains in the hospital.

A spokesperson says Kevin Forrester remains in stable condition at Baptist Golden Triangle.

Forrester has injuries to his legs after being shot.

He was one of the first on the scene when Pryor Spencer Bailey the fourth got out of an SUV and exchanged gunfire with law enforcement.

Lowndes County deputies loaded Forrester into and sheriff’s department SUV and took him to the hospital.

He’s expected to make a full recovery.
