Jury Selection Begins in Tippah Deputy Shooting Death Trial

TIPPAH COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-Jury selection has begun in Kosciusko this morning for the trial of a Pontotoc man charged in the shooting death of a Tippah County Sheriff’s Deputy. 28 year-old Franklin Fitzpatrick will stand trial for the capital murder for the shooting death of 62 year-old DeWayne Crenshaw. Deputy Crenshaw responded to a disturbance call December 3rd 2010 and was shot when deputies tried to subdue Fitzpatrick.
