ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) — Late-night parties are attracting attention in Aberdeen and aldermen may step in to calm it down.

Police Chief Henry Randle told Aldermen Tuesday night that parties at community centers and other public locations are causing problems for his department. He asked city leaders to consider an ordinance that would allow officers to shut parties down after midnight and limit the hours of public facilities.

Aldermen said they’d check with laws in other towns and come up with a proposal that meets their needs.
