Latest Addition Coming at Global Aerospace Park

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — The next improvement to Lowndes County’s economic development effort is coming along literally inches at a time.

Thursday, Landmark Structures began installing the million-gallon water tank on its tower at the Golden Triangle Global Aerospace Park. Once the tank is in place, the top will be hoisted and mounted Saturday.

The next step will be digging water wells to feed the tank, which will provide water to new industries in the 2,000-acre park to the west of Golden Triangle Regional Airport.

The tank should be operating by early next year. The project is part of $20 million worth of water, sewer and utility improvements to the park.
