Kurtis Yarbrough

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lee County teen is charged with breaking into a home.

Kurtis Yarbrough, 19, was arrested Friday (1/18).

According to Sheriff Jim Johnson, an alert neighbor called police after seeing a suspicious car and people at his neighbor’s home Friday morning.

After getting off the phone with authorities, the neighbor confronted the three suspects. Despite getting into an altercation with one of them, all three suspects were able to get away.

Deputies later found their reported get-away car abandoned on Lake Lamar Bruce Road. According to Sheriff Johnson, that car led them to Yarbrough. The two other suspects are still being sought. Once caught they will be charged with the same crime.
