Legislature Okays Plan To Fund Lowndes Parks
JACKSON (WCBI) – The next step in Lowndes County establishing its own parks and recreation programs is nearly complete. The Mississippi Legislature today sent the governor a bill authorizing the Lowndes supervisors to give up to $350,000 to municipalities in the county.
That money would be used for the cities to start park activities. The bill becomes law when the governor signs it or he lets it go into effect without his signature.
