LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – For three decades, church members of Flower Ridge United Methodist Church have put together a Live Nativity Drive thru for the Louisville community to enjoy.

The drive thru this year displays six different scenes leading up to the birth of Jesus. From Mary and Joseph, the shepherds and the wiseman traveling to see the newborn king.
The first performance was back in 1982 and while much has changed, generations of church members have continued to volunteer to put the event together every year.

“Watching all the families, this is some of the families, been the 3rd generation that’s working on this in 30 years and all the work that goes into putting the scenes together and everything. Then when we actually do it, watching the people come through especially the smaller children, watching their eyes as they see the Christmas story live for the first time. And it just blows beyond their imagination. And that’s the joy of it,” says Pastor Larry Haggard.

The two day event is held every year the weekend before Christmas and over 300 cars will drive through- to enjoy the experience.
