Video: 2 Charged with Aggravated Assault on Police Officer Following Sunday Shooting

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Columbus police have formally charged two local men in connection with a Sunday morning shooting.
23-year-old Terrell Nance and 22-year-old Demontae Harris, both of Columbus, were charged with aggravated assault on a police officer.
The two were arrested in connection with a shooting which occurred about 3 a.m. Sunday on 22nd Street North.
Two police officers who were reportedly on foot in the area were allegedly shot at once by one of the two suspects, both of whom immediately afterward fled into an apartment.
Nance and Harris were arrested following a search warrant.
Investigators have not yet determined a motive, but the investigation into the alleged shooting is ongoing.
No injuries were reported.
Bond for Nance and Harris was set at $150,000 each.
