3 Arrested in Separate Starkville Burglary Cases

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — A Starkville man is caught in the act and arrested for burglary.

Saturday morning Starkville Police arrested 31-year-old Elmer Norwood.

Officers responded to a burglary in progress near Pontotoc Street in Starkville. Officers were quickly able to locate Norwood.

He’s charged with one count of burglary of a church and one count of residential burglary.

Norwood awaits his initial court appearance in Oktibbeha County Jail.

In a separate case, two 19-year-olds are in custody in Starkville, charged with breaking into cars.

Starkville police responded to an auto burglary call at Crossgate Apartments on Stark Road just before 3 o’clock Saturday morning.

A short time later, officers caught up with two men who fit the description of the suspects.

Roderiquez Norman and Jarrerick Jenkins were arrested and charged with two counts of auto burglary.
