3 Dead, 1 Injured In Montgomery County Shootings

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Three people are dead and one person was critically injured after multiple shootings in Montgomery County early Wednesday morning.

Mississippi Bureau of Investigation Spokesman Warren Strain says there are multiple crime scenes and a person of interest is being interviewed.

One person was shot and critically injured. Strain says the victim was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

Strain says MBI agents from three districts are assisting the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Montgomery County Sheriff Bubba Nix tells WCBI his agency is investigating a shooting. He has not released any information about the shooting incidents.

Montgomery County Coroner Allan Pratt says the shooting happened about 2:10 AM.

No names have been released at this time.
