$30,000 Dollar Drug Bust

WINONA, Miss. (WCBI)-Two Missouri residents get more than they bargained for after being pulled over for a traffic violation while heading to see relations in Winona.

Sunday afternoon, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a Chrysler 300 just off Interstate 55 around 11:30.

Authorities say a search of the vehicle turned up 10 pounds of marijuana with a street value of $20,000 to $30,000 dollars and cocaine.

25 year-old Ebony Stowers and 49 year-old Johnny Loggins both of Missouri were traveling to see Loggins family in Winona with  children in tow.

Authorities also say they seized $6,558 dollars in cash and a lap top.

Stowers is charged with possession of cocaine and Loggins is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
