Video: 500 New Jobs Coming to Starkville

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — A business process outsourcing industry is bringing 500 new jobs to Starkville.

The global company, Sitel, has already hired about 120 people over the last few weeks, and plans to bring on 380 more.

Sitel supports clients in many industries, from retail and utilities, to entertainment and technical support.

“We had some great growth in one of our clients, which we were able to diversify some of the work that we’re already doing with them, and they grew, so we grew with them,” said Dave Billington, site director. “And then we have some seasonal work, which is in healthcare, and that’s great work for folks. It’s more of traditional type work with hours during the week.”
