COLUMBUS, Miss. — Welcome to the new Wendy’s, Columbus!
Carlisle Corporation, whose principal shareholders are Gene and Karen Carlisle and Chance Carlisle, are thrilled to announce it will open the doors to the newly constructed Wendy’s in Columbus, Mississippi on Monday, October 28th. With a revitalized décor, comfortable seating and other amenities, customers will enjoy a stunning new Wendy’s experience when they visit the new restaurant located at 1903 Highway 45 North.
The restaurant was constructed using an innovative interior and exterior design, which is part of a comprehensive brand transformation to reinvent the Wendy’s restaurant environment – from food innovation to building design to new packaging.
“This restaurant has bold curb appeal and features a compelling, innovative interior and exterior design,” said Greg Jones, Vice President of Operations for Carlisle Corporation “It’s very different from what our customers in Columbus are used to, but we think they’ll really like the fresh look and feel of the new Wendy’s.”
The image activation building will feature all new interiors and exteriors. This restaurant features a contemporary design with large windows, natural materials, and a warm, inviting patio.
The interior showcases open, bright dining areas, with multiple seating options, including lounge seating by the welcoming fireplace. Wi-Fi is also available for customers in the newly designed dining room.

The brand strategy involves completely re-imaging the entire Wendy’s menu, as evidenced by launches of several new items, such as Berry Almond Chicken Salad, Dave’s Hot ‘N Juicy Cheeseburger and limited time items like the Flatbread Grilled Chicken Sandwich.
In 2013, Carlisle Corporation will re-image or re-build 12of its 133 Wendy’s restaurants, 5 of which will be in Mississippi.
In addition to the construction of the Columbus location, the company will is in the process of re-imaging their restaurants in Ridgeland, D’Iberville, and Forest, Mississippi. Their location in Pearl, Miss., unveiled its remodel last month.
Other brand enhancements are new advertising and marketing campaigns, a revised Wendy’s logo, new crew uniforms and product packaging innovations.
“We are making great progress in all of these areas, and we think our customers will be surprised and excited about their new Wendy’s,” Gene Carlisle said.
