COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-Police often get credit for catching bad guys but some unsung heroes often go unnoticed.

Columbus Police made sure that didn’t happen today. Chief Selvain McQueen made a special presentation to five Lowndes County E-911 dispatchers who played a key role in helping officers catch a suspect in the March 15th robbery of Cadence Bank.

McQueen said the dispatchers’ quick response, detailed information and clear instructions made catching the suspect before he ever got off the bank’s property possible.

The five dispatchers are Shanna Haynes, Renee Lann, Melody Profiet, Terrica Randle and Shalonda Singleton.
