Aberdeen Hospital Update

ABERDEEN, Miss.(WCBI)–Good news the Aberdeen hospital is here to stay.

Monroe County supervisors discussed Pioneer Health Services’ chapter eleven bankruptcy and if it could affect the Pioneer Community Hospital of Aberdeen, while in an executive meeting Monday.

Pioneer Health Services is a parent company of the hospital.

The hospital is jointly owned by Monroe County and the City of Aberdeen.

While supervisors say the hospital is doing well they discussed legal issues.

The supervisors are ensuring there is no need for panic.

The Pioneer Community Hospital will remain open and the hospital’s financial status is stable.
