Aberdeen Hosts 41st Pilgrimage

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) — Aberdeen residents are celebrating their southern heritage.

The city’s annual Pilgrimage event kicked off Friday.

Both locals and visitors toured historic homes and took carriage rides, among other activities.

Participants say this event is something they look forward to each spring.

“This is a dream come true for me,” said Diane Smith, Mon Chalet homeowner. “I have loved historic homes almost all of my adult life, and actually had a dream of owning a historic home. This is like a treat for me to open my home to everyone.”

This is the 41st year for the Pilgrimage.

The event wraps up Sunday.
