Video: Aberdeen Leaders Gather Input for Future Plans

ABERDEEN, Miss. – (WCBI) Aberdeen city leaders start the new year with high expectations, and fresh ideas about how to get involved.

Several ministers, civic members, and leaders of non-profit organizations came together for a town hall style meeting with residents Tuesday afternoon.

Mayor Cecil Belle says the development of this panel with give all different groups a chance to explain what they do and offer Aberdeen citizens a chance to participate in community improvement.

“A lot of time, citizens don’t get an opportunity to come to those meetings, so I want to give them an opportunity to have some input because they are stake holders in our city,” says Mayor Belle.

Participants also took a look back at 2014 to review the progress that has been made, like the introduction of their healthy city initiative.
