ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) — Aberdeen Police Officer Jason Franks will return to work on his next scheduled day.

Franks, a three-year veteran of the department, has been on leave since an Oct. 5 confrontation with Chief Henry Randle over Franks’ refusal to sign a notice of what the two men had discussed during a meeting.

At tonight’s meeting, Aldermen said Franks could return to work while the state Attorney General’s office continues to review the incident and see if any further action is warranted. Franks is next scheduled to be on duty on the night shift later this week.
