Aberdeen Uses Prayer to Remember September 11th

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) — Aberdeen residents gathered at city hall to join together in prayer and support each other as they remember what happened on September 11th 2001.

Aberdeen Police Department and Fire Department shut down Commerce Street during the ceremony.

Many speakers addressed the crowds with uplifting messages, based on coming together as a community in faith, saying it’s important to be thankful for what we have because of those that have lost their lives.

“To give thanks to the Lord that we are still here, because so many people lost their lives on 9-11.”>

The ceremony ended with a song,Amazing Grace.
