Accused Bank Robber Back In Mississippi

West Point, MS, Wednesday, September 30, 2015: 23 year old Titus Lamb, an alleged robber of a local bank, has been transported back to Mississippi. He will face charges related to the July 27, 2015 robbery of the Renasant Bank in West Point. Officers of the West Point Police Department were dispatched to Georgia yesterday where custody of Mr. Lamb was transferred from DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department to West Point Police.

Lamb was arrested by the U. S. Marshall’s Service Saturday September 19, 2015 in the Atlanta area and had been held in the DeKalb County Jail since that time. He has been formally charged with one count of armed robbery and bond has been set at $1,000,000. Mr. Lamb is being held at the Clay County Detention Center.

His initial appearance is scheduled for Friday morning in the West Point Municipal Court. According to Chief Tim Brinkley, “We are praising the efforts and cooperation of the U. S. Marshall’s Service and the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department and we thank them for their assistance. Now we’re focusing on the investigation and presenting our case to the Grand Jury.”
