Video: Alabama Gets Office of Minority Affairs

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) – Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley is scheduled to sign an executive order that will create an office of minority affairs.

Bentley is expected to sign the order 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the state Capitol.

Bentley says office staff will offer guidance on issues impacting minorities and women with the goal of improving the quality of life for both groups.

The governor says education, health, political engagement, criminal justice and race relations are among the issues he expects the office to offer guidance on.
