Alcorn County Narcotics, Two Drug Arrests

ALCORN COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Two unrelated drug arrests were made by the Alcorn County Narcotics last week.

Danika Collins, of Corinth, was arrested Thursday after the sheriff’s office received a complaint call that a white GMC vehicle was parked on private property on County Road 500 in the Rienzi area. The caller suspected use of drugs.

Four ounces of suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia were confiscated. Collins was transported to Alcorn County Jail and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine.

She was released on a $5,000 bond Friday.

Another arrest was made Thursday night, authorities say Christopher Mansfield, 25, of Corinth was stopped on U.S. Highway 72 for erratic driving.

During the traffic stop authorities observed a drug pipe on the seat of the car, and later discovered more paraphernalia and drugs.

Mansfield remains in jail. His bond was set at $10,000.
