Video: Alderman Move Forward with City Hall Plans

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- With no objection from residents, Starkville aldermen are moving forward with renovating city hall to become the police department headquarters.

Now, planning and architectural drawings can now be done.

Mayor Parker Wiseman has encouraged aldermen to find grant funding to offset the costs.

Wiseman says the plan is to issue the three million dollars in bonds next spring.

Once the new city hall, which is under construction, is complete, the Police Department will take over the current location.
