Alternating Lane Closures Continue In Union County

UNION CO., Miss. (WCBI) – Alternating lane closures will continue on I-22 in Union County while a bridge deck repair project is underway.

The repairs are for the bridges over Little Tallahatchie River and over Carter and Central Avenues.

There will be alternating lane closures in both lanes for the duration of the project.

The Carter and Central Avenue entrance ramps on I-22 westbound will be closed, as well.

There will be occasional daytime closures and detours on Carter and Central Avenues.

Motorists are asked to use caution while MDOT crews and contractors are on site.

The project is expected to be completed in early fall.

The I-22 on-ramp will re-open in July.
