Video: American Legion Auxiliary Girls State

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Nearly 300 high school girls are gathering at Mississippi State University for American Legion Auxiliary Girls State.

Girls State is a weeklong program that highlights state, local and U.S. Electoral processes.

The program is considered to be one of the nations premier programs in helping young women understand how the government works.

Participants will hear from a diverse group of individuals in public services and enhance their leadership skills.
