AMORY, Miss. (WCBI)-The temperatures were chilling Saturday, but that didn’t stop Amory bikers from their annual toy run.

The 11th annual Eldridge toy run started by Johnny Northington after his son was diagnosed with brain cancer. The bikers left Amory Walmart’s parking lot around 10:00am Saturday morning, making over a 50-mile journey to the Eldridge Children’s home in Alabama, to give children without a home something nice for Christmas. One rider says the children’s faces always make the trip worth it.

“Seeing all the bikers come in you know they’re cheering us on as we pull into the campus and everything and it just makes a huge difference in their life,” says Phillip Frye.

Last year they had over one-thousand bikers to participate in the toy run.

This year the group raised more than $65,000 for the kids.
