Amory Fire Chief To Retire

AMORY, Miss. (AP) – Amory Fire Chief Jimmy Bost is retiring at the end of the year.

The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports Bost has been fire chief for 23 years and been with the fire department for 35 years.

Bost says better equipment and better training make the job a lot easier than it was when he started.

The city accepted applications for the vacant position until Dec. 5.
