AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) – The parking lot of Amory’s Piggly Wiggly was turned into a mini carnival on Saturday.
There was games, a dunking booth, food and much more, all for a worthy cause.

The Amory Lions Club hosted a fun fundraiser, raising money to buy glasses for kids who are in need.

The group is the world’s largest service club.

This is the first year for the mini carnival fund raiser and organizers hope it will bring in a few thousand dollars to buy eye glasses.

“There’s so many kids in our schools just in our area that can’t see the black board. We’ve gone and done vision tests at the schools and it’s unbelievable the kids that cant see. And the parents don’t have the funds to get them the glasses,” said the club’s president Bryant Hargroue.
The club hopes to host more fund raisers like this one in the future.
