Applications For Rabbit Hunt On Oktibbeha WMA Open

JACKSON – Applications are now available for draw rabbit hunts with dogs on Trim Cane Wildlife Management Area (WMA). To participate in these hunts, applicants should apply online at www.mdwfp.com/draws before October 15.  Applicants must have a valid Mississippi hunting license before applying for a WMA draw hunt.  After purchasing or renewing a hunting license, applicants must wait 24 hours before applying.

Trim Cane WMA is located in Oktibbeha County near Starkville.  The hunts will begin at 8 a.m., and each permitted hunter may bring up to four guests for each hunt.  Hunts will occur on Wednesdays and Saturdays during November and February. The daily bag limit per hunting party is eight rabbits.
