Arrest Made in Starkville Shooting

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — A Starkville man is behind bars, accused of being involved in a late night shooting.

Starkville police arrested 33-year-old Jason Orlando Ellis Wednesday morning, and charged him with aggravated assault.

The shooting happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday on Pilcher Street, near Henderson School.

Investigators say it stemmed from a fight.

Someone was shot in the arm, and was then taken to a nearby hospital.

Ellis’ bond was set at $20,000.
