Arrests Mount in School iPad Thefts

GREENVILLE, Miss. (AP) – Eleven people have been arrested so far in the investigation of the theft of iPads from the Greenville Public School District.

Assistant Police Chief Delando Wilson tells the Delta Democrat Times four more arrest warrants are waiting to be served.

Wilson says those arrested have been charged with possession of stolen property School district spokesman Everett Chinn says more than 60 iPads have been lost or stolen this school year.

He says 25 have been recovered.

Chinn says the iPads represent a $2 million investment for the students.
